Cindy Carter's grandson gets better looking every day!

As Cindy says, "This is my grandson Desmond.
He was the ring bearer for his Uncle Brent's wedding
(couldnt' get him to carry the rings but that's ok)."
No, that is not Uncle Brent standing next to him.

Cindy Carter showing off her grandson

In Cindy's words:
Photos of my little DNA-
Desmond Nathaniel Arnold
who turned 1 year old in May.
It took me 58 years to finally get a grandchild.
I was beginning to give up so I gotta brag a little!
(We can all agree she has much to brag about!)
btw, DNA is in New York City

Remembrance from Monica Dean

Remember that if you were sick you had to stand in line outside Mr. Taylor's office and he called you in, and then phoned your parent while you’re standing there? And remember his absolute monotone and cold icy blue-eyed stare? Imagine that voice and this scene:

Kathy Derbonne is really sick (as opposed to just wanting to cut the rest of the day’s classes). She is literally about to keel over. She gets into Mr. Taylor’s office and says she feels like she is going to faint. He doesn’t bat an eyelash. He phones her mom: “Miz Derbonne, this is Douglas Tay-lah at Bo’ton Ha Skule. Your daughter is in my office saying she feels like she is going to faint.” (pause, same monotone, doesn’t bat an eyelash) “Miz Derbonne, your daughter has now fainted. You will need to come pick her up.” He doesn’t change his tone, doesn’t get up from his desk to peel Kathy off the floor, he just motions to the next person in line (me) to come into his office. It was classic.

Take care, enjoy fall in Louisiana . In Virginia , it’s been lows in the low 50s and highs in the low 70s and the leaves are beginning to turn golds and reds. Perfect fall weather.

Francine Vanderhoeven's Grandson's 3rd Birthday

In Francine's Words:
Here are some pics from my grandson Kentaro's 3rd birthday party in Portland, OR. Pictured with Kentaro are his parents, Naoko & Brian, my son. Brian is currently finishing his degree as a nutritionist and my daughter-in-law graduated this summer with a Master's in Mathematics from Portland State University.

Yes, I am a grandma, but I am called "Red" by Kentaro. Vanity, vanity!

Beaver Creek, Colorado is obviously a beatiful setting for a wedding. Here's a link to additional photos and information RE Elaine Carr's nephew's wedding:

Some of us could offer suggestions for the perfect place for a divorce, or perhaps more approriately, a bad place for a wedding.

Old postcards of Bolton

Click this link to see old Post Cards from Alexandria, especially Bolton. Note the one that shows New Bolton High and Junior College:
http://www.alexandria-louisiana.com/pc-schools.htm
Be sure to peruse the rest of this site as well. It's terrific.
What was the oldest grammar school any of us attended in Alexandria? We were likely too young to have gone to Central Grammar or West End Grammar.
